This machine has been designed and manufactured to apply a concrete coating to the external surface of steel pipes of 8" to 64" diameter. In this system the pipe to be coated is fixed at both ends with two steel cones which are mounted on a chassis.

The pipe is then rotated and laterally moved in front of a mortar spraying device. By using a continuous and controlled spray, a layer of mortar is applied to the external surface of the pipe.

In order to prevent shrinkage cracks affecting the sprayed mortar, the coating layer is provided with the reinforcement. The used type of mesh or bar reinforcement depends on the diameter of the pipe and the thickness of the coating layer.
